OceanSMART, a division within Oceaneering International, is a new SaaS platform aimed at bringing transparency and efficacy to the cargo logistic chain, with a unique blend of industry knowledge, existing customer relationships, data integration, data science, and software development.

We have a secured customer base and are moving into growth phase to accomplish our purpose; we are looking for a Sr. Full Stack Developers who are passionate about driving innovation in an industry ripe for disruption.

Participate in the design and development of OceanSMART web applications, back-end APIs, data persistence layers, and sophisticated data pipelines responsible for the ingestion and delivery of billions of records.

• Build high quality software components while following industry best practices.
• Translate business requirements into technical tasks and manage scope
• Participate in the architectural design of the OceanSMART SaaS Platform. Define the architectural patterns and standards for new features.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and other team members to derive appropriate solutions.
• Contribute to various levels of the stack, including the front-end, middle tier, ingestion/persistence of large amounts of data, and efficient retrieval from the database.
• Solve complex problems.
• Develop and maintain Unit and/or Functional Tests.

Required

• Minimum 3 years' experience building cloud-native applications (preferably with microservices)
• Minimum 5 years' with Full-Stack JavaScript web development (NodeJS, React)
• Minimum 3 years' with NoSQL databases (MongoDB preferred)
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience

Desired

• SaaS/PaaS application development experience
• Experience with React Hooks and Material UI
• Experience with GraphQL
• Experience with JavaScript testing frameworks (e.g. Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, Istanbul)
