Position overview Position title: Neurocritical Care Physicians
Salary range: The posted UC Salary scales set the minimum pay at the appointment as determined by appointment type and if applicable, rank and/or step. The base pay range for this position is $192,000 - $320,000. Salary is negotiated annually. Additional compensation may be available if the position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan. Position description

The Department of Neurosciences at the University of California San Diego (UCSD) (https://neurosciences.ucsd.edu/) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body is recruiting for two distinguished positions in Neurocritical Care.

UCSD Health, San Diego's exclusive academic health care system, is committed to advancing the care of Neurocritical Care patients through exemplary clinical care and cutting-edge research.

We seek accomplished candidates for directorship of our ACGME Neurocritical Care Fellowship Program and candidates for the position of Neurocritical Care Research Lead in our expanding Neurocritical Care Program. Mid-career and senior neurointensivists are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities for Fellowship Program Directorship:
* Lead the ACGME Neurocritical Care Fellowship Program
* Attend 12-20 flexible weeks on service in UCSD's Neuro-ICUs

Responsibilities for Neurocritical Care Research Lead:
* Contribute to the research leadership of UCSD's Neurocritical Care Program
* Attend 8-12 flexible weeks on service in UCSD's Neuro-ICUs

The selected candidates will also be responsible for providing high quality training and teaching.

The appropriate series and appointment will be based on the candidate's background and experience.

Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded.

As a member of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, the appointee should be aware that there are limitations on outside professional activities, and clinical moonlighting is expressly prohibited. Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

Candidates must have a MD or equivalent, Board certification in Neurocritical Care and a minimum of 3 years of attending experience as a Neurocritical Care Physician.

Candidates must also have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.
