Overview

Select Physical Therapy is seeking an In- Home Staff Physical Therapist in Santee, CA

Select Physical Therapy is looking for a dynamic physical therapist to join our growing In-Home team, providing Outpatient Physical Therapy in the home.

This position would be covering a small territory, servicing the central and southern districts of San Diego County. The primary population are orthopedic patients following total joint surgery, with the occasional gait and balance patient. We ask for 50% less volume compared to the clinic, and you're in charge to schedule patients the way that works for you. Enjoy typical outpatient documentation, no lengthy Oasis start of care because this is not a Home Health job. If you're an experienced physical therapist who can work independently this position is for you!

Schedule: Monday-Friday no weekends

Compensation: Commensurate with experience $90,000-$100,000

Unique Location/Job Details: Outpatient Physical Therapy in the home and covering in our outpatient orthopedic centers if needed. Treating post-operative patients in their homes before going to physical therapy center. Must have at least 2 year of licensed experience in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities
  • In-Home Staff Physical Therapist evaluates, plans, and administers physical therapy treatment for patients suffering from injuries, muscle, nerve, joint, and bone disorders or diagnoses to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability.
  • Travel is required to different home care settings, between clinics, doctor's offices, and to patient's homes.
  • Evaluates the home environment for rehab and make appropriate recommendations to increase the independence of the client.
  • Develop, prepare, and maintain individualized client care progress records with accuracy, timeliness, and according to agency policy and procedures.
  • Supervise physical therapy assistants by directing, participating in, and presenting continuing education programs; and assume administrative/supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the director.
  • Educate client/caregiver and health care teams in the phases of physical therapy in which they may assist the client, in the use of prosthetic and orthotic devices and durable medical equipment, as appropriate.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Licensed physical therapist in the state of employment.
  • Minimum two years of experience as a physical therapist.
  • Automobile liability insurance and current unrestricted driver's license.
  • CPR certification or complete training required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years of outpatient physical therapy experience.
