Job Description
DIRECTOR, FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATION AND OPERATIONS, Sloan School of Management-Global Programs (GP), to manage the area’s operations and administration. Will be responsible for financial review and control for business administration and finance functions; managing reporting and forecasting while coaching, supporting, and developing GP’s internal, allocated finance staff role(s), challenges, and contributions; streamlining, reviewing, and analyzing opportunities for enhancing GP's fiscal goals; collaborating with GP’s leadership team on improving projected forecasts, identifying fiscal trends, and positioning its margins for annual positive impact; establishing program master plans to execute with GP’s programs and events; delivering a portfolio of programs and events, including workshop deliveries, classroom immersion programs, and additional ancillary conferences and events; balancing the requirements of numerous programs and events in varied stages of planning; overseeing the negotiation of contracts and pricing with vendors and other resource providers; and managing the identification and maintenance of a roster of vendors/service and resource providers.
Job Requirements:REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, or related field; five years’ administration experience; experience in operations management, including oversight of a combination of functions that include finance, HR, IT, communications, facilities, and space planning; experience managing staff and providing coaching, training, and mentoring; strong leadership skills and ability to motivate a team toward common goals; excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; meticulous attention to detail; track record of successful conference/event management; strategic approach to the work and solving complex problems; and proficiency with MS Office and other relevant software. Must be able to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment and interact effectively with stakeholders and others at all levels of the organization. Salary range: $97,150 - 129,895 - 162,640, based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity. Generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
Must be able to work occasional evenings.
