Job Description
The person in this position will assist the Financial Aid Director in administering federal and state financial aid programs including advising students on financial aid programs, application processing, and packaging and awarding of financial aid eligibility. The person in this position will process verification paperwork and make corrections to student ISIRs. The person in this position will manage the student employment program. This position will also correspond with various government agencies and perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications

Associate’s degree
-
At least one year of prior experience working in a financial aid office.

Thorough knowledge of Minnesota and Federal financial aid regulations and guidelines.

Knowledge of and the ability to use the Federal Student Aid’s relations databases and applications.

Ability to identify problems and resolve FAFSA data discrepancies.

Effective written and verbal communication skills sufficient to participate in discussions and communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.

Ability to work independently and as a team member.

Demonstrated inter-cultural competency.
Preferred Qualification
-
Bachelor's degree.
-
Three or more years of prior work experience in a financial aid office.

Previous ISRS experience.
-
Knowledge of the Minnesota State System and college policies, as well as state and federal laws and regulations.

Knowledge of and ability to follow FERPA regulations.

Working knowledge of current student information system (Integrated Student Records System), ImageNow, Minnesota State System related Web Communications and Degree Audit Report Systems (DARS).

In accordance with the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities (MnSCU) Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business, whether using a personal, rental or state vehicle, shall be required to complete a Vehicle Use Agreement form and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check annually.

Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm, with some Saturdays and evenings.
