- Serve as the lead career counselor for College of Engineering and Physical Science undergraduates, graduate students, and alumni
- Teach/co-teach career courses when established as an engagement strategy and priority in the college
- Consider academic majors and their connections to industry
- Administer and interpret individual interest, skills, abilities, and values assessment instruments
- Stay current with career advising trends – develop an external career education network and learn from best practices
- Collaborate with peers in other colleges to continuously innovate career advising Present at conferences/events
- Perform other duties as assigned by College Director to ensure the success of CaPS on behalf of the university, its students, and alumni
Duty/Responsibility
- Support college-wide career development activities (for undergraduate and graduate students); fully implement and continuously improve CaPS career preparedness model: the Wildcat Way to Professional Success
- Support career services informational programs; including orientation, admitted students’ days, parents/family weekend
- Develop and use standardized methodology for program development to include goals, learning objectives, alignment with strategic plan
Duty/Responsibility
- Analyze student engagement and satisfaction data/reports from CaPS and continuously assess priorities and service delivery
- Leverage data to “get to know” student population – how to best serve/influence retention
- Train students (and develop programming if needed) on the use of various CaPS technologies—Handshake, Vmock etc.
- Design and deliver mass communications to students including the weekly career emails
Duty/Responsibility
- Support, development, and maintain partnerships with student organizations, faculty, and staff
- Manage outreach to student organizations and student leadership groups tied to the college and develop/lead tailored career programs addressing specific needs of each group
- Work with and leverage alumni in programming

- In association with college Career Director, set college career advising strategic vision/plan in accordance with CaPS mission and strategic objectives and college priorities
- Align operational goals to strategy and CaPS strategic objectives
