Resident Assistant
Job Description
Enforce the rules and policies, develop a sense of community, facilitate the social, academic, and personal adjustment of students to housing and the institution, in the campus residence halls. They are directly accountable to the Dean of Students’ Office and the Housing Department.
- Maintain a cumulative and/ or semester GPA of 2.50 or above and be in good academic standing. Unless excused by the Coordinator of Housing or the Dean of Students through an Academic Restorative Plan. If you fall below a 2.0 cumulative and semester GPA you will be released from your position.
- You must fill out the current FAFSA Application, unless you are an international student.
- Must be a full-time student. ** Unless excused by the Coordinator of Housing or the Dean of Students
- Have an interest in student life and willingness to serve the needs of other residents.
- Ability to deal with residents firmly, fairly and with respect while exercising disciplinary action when necessary.
- Must live on-campus in a residence hall during the contract.**
- Must attend including but not limited to all the staff trainings, staff meetings and RA programs if hired.
- Hold no other employment off-campus. Other on-campus employment may not be more than 20 hours per week.**
