• Maintain machines clean and on/off when operations open/closed.

• Properly wash, spot, dry clean, press and handle all guest clothing.

• Wash, dry clean and press all colleagues and managers uniforms.

• Send any and all articles of clothing to seamstress if and when item is torn, buttons are missing.

• Report any item that is not properly working

• Handle all chemicals per OSHA requirements

• This position is dependent on both teamwork and a solid foundation based on the mechanical hour capacity.

• A basic knowledge of resort activities is required to ensure timeliness of customer needs, which would be outlined each morning in line-up.

• Maintain an excellent relationship with all departments.

• Maintain excellent communication within the Laundry department as well as with all other departments.

• Have full knowledge of the hotel's emergency procedures.

• Maintain a safe working environment.

• Participate in meetings.

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Must be able to multi-task and handle last minute guest requests.

• Detail oriented as the smallest stains, wrinkle, rips must be noticed on all guest and/or colleagues uniform to ensure all clothing are pristine and sent to alterations if and when it needs repair or replacement.

• Previous experience preferred (at least one year).

• High School graduate or equivalent is preferred.

• Must have ability to communicate well both verbally and written.

• Reading and counting is essential.

• Requires limited knowledge of Laundry, yet must show an aptitude to secure minimum levels of skills and abilities that would allow for a proficient job orientation based on specific tasks and methods.

• This is to provide a safe working environment according to OSHA regulations that would protect both the employee and coworkers.

• Excellent team spirit.

• Able to work well under pressure.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to work in hot environment (up to 80 degrees) & be on feet 100%

• Must be able to lift 10-20 pounds

Hourly Rate Range: $20.22 USD Gross per hour
