Responsible for Physical Therapy patient service delivery including evaluation and treatment of routine and complex patients. Completes required documentation and communicates patient information across the continuum of care. Participates in training and program development and represents the department to the medical and general community. Demonstrates competence in the UCSD Medical Center core values.
This recruitment is for a Clinical Specialist in the field of Pelvic Health with preferred additional orthopedic experience, working in UC San Diego Health's Community Care setting, designed specifically to promote ease of collaboration with our world class physicians. We provide care to a diverse patient population with a variety of pelvic floor conditions for both men and women, including but not limited to urinary and bowel incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic and urinary pain, and sexual dysfunction. Responsibilities include delivery of biofeedback, internal myofascial trigger point release, behavioral training, strengthening and conditioning. Depending on experience of the selected candidate, this position will be hired at the Physical Therapist II or Physical Therapist III level.
Graduation from an accredited school of Physical Therapy approved by the American Medical Association and the American Physical Therapy Association, eligibility for registration by the National Registry of the American Physical Therapy Association.
Physical Therapist (PT) license issued by the state of California.
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
A minimum of of two (2) years of experience as licensed Physical Therapist
Possession of a professional association recognized specialty certification or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Experience in Pelvic Health physical therapy.
- Experience in Orthopedic Physical Therapy
- Experience in an outpatient setting.
- Four to six years of experience as licensed PT.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- May flex and float between sites as needed.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $114,381 - $150,879 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $54.78 - $72.26
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
