Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

The Systems and Data Analyst plays a crucial role in transforming complex academic and administrative systems into user-friendly web applications for use by Education Abroad stakeholders. This position supports, maintains, and updates the Education Abroad (EA) website, as well as manages the program database and application system. The Systems and Data Analyst is responsible for maintaining the relationship with software vendors, as well as managing troubleshooting and escalation processes to ensure timely resolution to system issues. They will also create documentation and internal training to ensure EA staff and key stakeholders can optimize systems. The Systems and Data Analyst is also responsible for compiling, analyzing, synthetizing data and creating data visualization for internal and external stakeholders. The position requires the ability to set priorities among competing demands, to recognize potential problems, and to find solutions through both timely consultation and independent action.

This position reports to the Assistant Director for Operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, Web Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.

Experience:
  • 3-5 years minimum relevant work experience.
  • 3 years experience in web application development.
  • 3 years experience with data analysis, reporting, and data visualization.
  • Demonstrated experience with managing projects.
  • Experience advocating for diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Significant expertise in Excel, and proficiency in all other Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Strong analytical skills, with demonstrated experience compiling and analyzing data and statistical reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex administrative procedures.
  • Knowledge of SAS, Tableau, BI360 or other statistical analysis software.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and cross-cultural skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple/competing priorities and provide excellent outcomes within required time frames.
  • Detail oriented.

Preferences:

Preferences:
  • Knowledge of study abroad programming and practices.
  • Experience using a Study Abroad application management and database system(s).
  • Work experience in an educational or institutional setting.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS , SQL or other programming language.
  • User Experience Research.

Additional Information:

Salary range $64,000-$80,000.
