Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, and we have 18 office locations around the United States. We are currently recruiting for internships located at our office in San Diego, CA (EUV laser source creation).
The Quality Engineering Data Analyst Internship will focus on turning large quantities of collected data into easily digestible views to drive business decisions. You will work closely with our quality team and D&E leadership to create Spotfire or Power BI dashboards so project leads can have real time views of how their modules are performing in the field. Additionally, you will work with the site lead for Engineering Quality to select meaningful KPIs to allow easy monitoring of quality performance.
Role and responsibilities
- Perform a deep dive into the quality data collected for modules owned in San Diego
- Create Spotfire or Power BI dashboards for real-time views of module field-performance
- Collaborate with the site lead for Engineering Quality to select meaningful KPIs based on dashboard findings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
Studying towards a bachelors or advanced degree in a field such as Industrialization Engineering, Software, Data Science, or other related discipline with a focus on Data Science or Analytics.
Required: proficiency in data visualization tools such as Spotfire or Power BI
Required: proficiency in basic statistics
Required: proficiency in Excel
Ideal candidate: be proficient in Python, SQL, KQL
Ideal candidate: familiarity with manufacturing and/or lean six-sigma concepts
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of clearly explaining technical issues and ideas to peers and management.
Proficient in MS Office Applications specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Can work effectively under deadlines and in a fast-paced environment.

Extended periods of time in a clean room environment should be expected. Requires gowning in Class 10K gowning protocol.
May need to work in labs with equipment that emit high-pitched noise.
May spend extended periods of time at a computer workstation.
