Experience:
- Experience working in Power Based Violence prevention and content development.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently.
Preferences:
- Master’s degree is preferred in public health, social work, public policy, or related disciplines.
- Experience as or working with peer educators.
- Familiarity with bystander intervention, responding to disclosures, trauma-informed education, and college health risk determinants.

- Hours may vary depending on program responsibilities, including some weekends and evening.
- This position is considered essential for medically related emergencies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Duty/Responsibility (1): | Contribute to the planning, development and implementation of sexual misconduct prevention training, including bystander intervention and other prevention education programs. Oversee day-to-day logistics and programming of Step Up! Bystander Intervention program. Co-lead the Student Leader Summit, train fraternity and sorority students during homecoming and springfest workshops, facilitate training for student athletes, resident assistants, orientation leaders, and training for teaching assistants, graduate students, faculty and staff as well.

Essential Duty/Responsibility (2): | Co-Instruct in the CARE Peer Education Program.Peer312 and Peer322 for-credit courses Maintain/ Update Peer-led workshops Handle logistics of peer workshop scheduling and coordination Co-supervision of Step Up Educators
Percentage (2): | 30%
Essential Duty/Responsibility (3): | Work on planning and implementing outreach and events. Assist with program evaluation and collecting and maintaining program data for education and advocacy services.
Percentage (3): | 10%
Essential Duty/Responsibility (4): | Work on prevention efforts relating to the UMD Sexual Assault Prevention Committee (SAPC).
Percentage (4): | 5%
Essential Duty/Responsibility (5): | Other duties as assigned.
Percentage (5): | 5%
Salary range is $54,960 – $68,700.
