In this collaborative role, you will be a pivotal member of the Procurement team and be responsible for providing support to both internal and external customers in purchasing materials, supplies or equipment for our San Diego facility.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with operations to define material and service needs.
- Negotiating and managing purchase orders to meet site demands.
- Purchasing and identifying cost savings opportunities.
- Ensuring adherence to internal procurement performance expectations.
- Conducting analysis' and providing stakeholders with information to make informed purchase decisions.
- Negotiating supplier agreements as necessary.
- Supporting Site Planning to ensure RM inventory levers (Kanban, min/max, etc..) remain current and accurate.
- Manage and communicate supplier lead-time to ensure planning accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related discipline
- 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing procurement/buyer/purchasing role
- Advanced MS Office Suite skills specifically using MS Excel and PowerPoint
