Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

This position for the Office of the Vice President of Student Affairs (OVPSA) and the University Health Center (UHC), will play an integral role in campus and community-wide initiatives to strengthen and advance the UHC’s identity and reputation. They play a key part in fostering a healthy and informed campus community. They provide support to the planning, delivery, and evaluation of the UHC communications and marketing initiatives. This position may also support cross-functional communication needs and initiatives involving other Division of Student Affairs health and well-being areas such as The Counseling Center.
This position reports directly to the Director of Marketing and Communications in the Division of Student Affairs (DSA) and UHC Director

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
A bachelor’s degree in public health, communications, or health education related to 5 years of marketing and communications and full-time experience in health communications in a health-related environment.

Experience:
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a high degree of diplomacy.
● Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask and anticipate needs.
● Proven results in creating and implementing marketing and communications campaigns.
● Experience in communications and customer relations.
● Experience preparing and making oral presentations.
● Experience with recommending and implementing process changes to gain efficiency.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
● Ability to manage conflict.
● Strong leadership and management skills.
● Dependability, integrity, and trustworthiness.
● Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures.
● Ability to research, organize, and synthesize information and materials from multiple sources.
● Proven results in creating and implementing marketing and communications campaigns.
●Prepare reports, memos, letters, presentations, and other documents, and help prepare

Preferences:

Preferences:
●Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Communications, Public/Strategic Communication, Health Education, or related degrees or Marketing and communications experience in health care or higher education.
● Working knowledge of platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud.
● Experience with website CMS such as Drupal.

Additional Information:

Salary range: $60,000-$73,000
