In accordance with AO goals and objectives and EDFR core values, direct all aspects of the on 24/7 on-site project activities to include safe, effective, and efficient project operations, personnel supervision, community relationships, maintenance of regulatory and contractual compliance, while maximizing overall profitability.
Foster a culture of safety:
- Review and address safety audit results for continuous improvement
- Facilitate Safety Training
- Review Lockout-tagout (LOTO) and Job Hazard Analysis / Job Safety Analysis (JHA/JSA)
- Manage contractors' safety awareness to make sure they meet our safety policy
- Drive daily Plan of the Day (POD) and End of the Day (EOD) meetings
- Ensure that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and tooling is provided
- Hold those who don't follow safety policy accountable
- Promote corporate safety programs
- Perform Incident investigations and reporting
Achieve or surpass project site KPIs:
- Drive continuous improvement efforts to deliver on highest plant performance
- Continuously monitor, upkeep, and report on plant performance
- Prepare and manage site budget and multiyear operating plan
- Execute corrective maintenance work activities effectively and efficiently
- Plan, organize and manage operational services
- Perform and execute resource planning activities
- Monitor and manage plant's inventory
- Issue and close service orders
- Comply and uphold contractual obligations
Manage and develop site personnel:
- Deliver and execute performance evaluation program for site technicians
- Facilitate technicians' continuous education through EDFR training program
- Develop Individual Development Plans for high performers
- Recognize, evaluate, and schedule technical training needs
- Hire new employees and manage employee status
- Develop and administer Performance Improvement plans, when needed
- Hold personnel accountable for completion of required training
- Administer and assign employee tasks
Maintain regulatory and contract compliance:
- Understand and comply with local, state, and federal environmental regulations
- Understand and adhere to federal, state, and local permit requirements pertaining to the project site
- Know, track, document and deliver on all applicable contractual compliance
- Coordinate with Operational Control Center (OCC) on necessary activities related to Transmission Operators and Transmission Providers to meet regulatory and contractual obligations
- Collaborate with the internal groups and vendors to assure the project meets all applicable NERC and FERC requirements including security and maintenance activities
- Collaborate with landowners and local communities to support and address lease obligations and community concerns
Other duties as assigned
Supervision of Others: Has a direct supervision responsibility over all levels of site Technicians, as well as Site Supervisor (where applicable). Manage contractors, vendors and guests visiting and performing activities at the project site.
Education/Experience
- Requires a minimum of 3 years' experience in a supervisory capacity running industrial, manufacturing, or O&M power plant facilities or 3-5 years of experience as a site lead in renewable energy O&M environment. Previous practice in leading (O&M) front line personnel desired. Organizational acumen, financial understanding as well as short- and long-term planning skills necessary. Understanding of inventory management, and background in working with continuous improvement practices a plus.
- Previous exposure to working with renewable energy technologies and CMMS system operations (SAP) are pluses. Knowledge of Microsoft office suite desired.
- 2 to 4-year degree with no less than 3-5 years of equivalent work experience or a combination of years of applicable work experience.
Critical Competencies -
- Requires the knowledge, skills, and abilities set forth in Appendix A.
Physical Requirements: A combination of office/computer based working environment and field.
Working Conditions:
70-90% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. 10-30% of time is spent outside of the office guiding field personnel, accommodating training, contractors, and vendors.
This role's annual base salary range is between $81,000 and $135,000.
