- Understand the admission requirements for MCC certificate and degree programs, to effectively communicate them to prospective students and to place students in the proper program at the point of admission to the college.
- Accurately enter applications and supporting documents into the electronic database for both domestic and international student applicants whether received electronically or by hard copy.
- Manage the admissions process for international students, ensuring all documentation is accurate and current.
- Prep, scan, and index the appropriate admissions documents into the electronic imaging database for both domestic and international student applicants, as needed.
- File and retrieve the appropriate admissions documents via the Admissions filing system for both domestic and international student files.
- Request, track, and manage appropriate admissions documents.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with high school and college administrative personnel to ascertain appropriate admissions documents.
- Administer placement testing via the Accuplacer testing program for the Admission department, as needed.
- Collect and route departmental mail to appropriate personnel for the Admissions department, as needed.
- Receive and direct customer calls at the switchboard and/or the receptionist area, as necessary to support full-time Switchboard personnel.
- Help maintain departmental supplies for the admission office, as necessary.
- Research any deficiencies in the admission files in preparation for and in response to the admissions audit conducted by the SBCJC and to maintain this information accurately in the electronic database.
- Provide regular status reports and ad hoc reports, as requested.
- Responsible for processing Mi-Best students as received
- Support the department in answering live chats when needed
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree Required
- Exceptional Customer Service, Communication, and Interpersonal Skills with the ability to interact with individuals of diverse backgrounds
- Detailed orientated
- Must be self-motivated, take initiative in tasks and job duties
- Possess strong software application skills using Microsoft Windows, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
