Job Summary
Supervises the campus financial and offices and compliance. Responsible for managing relations at the college and community level. Provides administrative leadership to back-line staff to ensure that students, campus offices, and the public are provided a high level of service and support with federal compliance. Supervises management of all campus financial aid offices relating to compliance.
Essential Duties
Supervise and lead the operational and compliance efforts of the Financial Aid Processing Center, this includes two functional teams: Fiscal Operations and the Verification and Eligibility teams.
Provide strategic vision, analysis, and direction to manage the financial aid process cycle using accountability measures, benchmarks, goals, and metrics.
Create, maintain and implement departmental policies and procedures as related to financial aid compliance standards for Title IV and State processing requirements.
Retrieves and analyzes complete reports from Banner, Cognos, the Department of Education and the State Regents to maintain compliance and provide timely delivery of student funds.
Work with the Assistant Director of Financial Aid, Campus Operations for continued process and service delivery improvement.
Assist the Director of Financial Aid in monitoring, training, and interpreting statutory and regulatory policies and procedures, advising the Director as appropriate.
Coordinate disbursement, draw-downs, returns, reporting, reconciling, and close outs with the TCC bursar office and the U.S. Department of Education.
Work with the Associate Director of Financial Aid Systems FAST/FA IT for Title IV processing and systems coordination.
Act as a liaison with the State Regents and other outside agencies for programs supported within the processing center.
Train and work with personnel on the use of Banner and other federal and state sites used for the processing of financial aid.
Participate and represent the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships in various committees, professional trainings, industry conference and conventions.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in administration or business-related field. Degree requirement may be
substituted with relevant and equivalent work experience.
Three years experience in financial aid programs.
One year experience in compliance or policy and procedure creation.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
Ellucian Banner Experience.
Working knowledge of COD with the Department of Education.
1 year experience in project coordination.
