Job Summary
Why Join the Psychiatric Emergency Services team?
As a member of this team, you will have clinical responsibility to conduct new patient evaluations including suicide risk assessment for adult and children in an acute care setting. This includes assessment, DSM-V diagnoses, treatment planning, crisis intervention and discharge planning. Additionally, you will provide brief individual and family crisis psychotherapy, patient education using best practice models which are applicable to PES practice settings.

Work Schedule
This position will work 20 hours a week on the weekends from 8:00am to 6:30pm
Work Locations
This position will work out of the Psychiatric Emergency Services unit within the Ann Arbor hospital campus.

Underfill Statement
This position may be underfilled at a lower classification depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate. Advancement through the career ladder at the Expert or Clinical Scholar Level is required for placement in the MSW Senior Classification.
Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third-party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
In addition to the screenings indicated above under Michigan law, a criminal history check including fingerprinting is required as a condition of transfer or employment for this position.
