Job Description:
Under general supervision in the Business Office, the P/T Program Specialist (WCC) is an important member of the college administrative team that specializes in the management of educational grant programs. The P/T Program Specialist (WCC) will work on the implementation, management, reporting, close out and documentation of grants that serve students within and related to the Perkins Grant. The P/T Program Specialist (WCC) will monitor program costs and assist in the development of career and technical education grant budgets. They will also compile monthly/quarterly/annual reports per grant requirements and keep detailed records of grant expenditures to ensure costs are in-line with program guidelines; request draw-down of funds as required to reimburse WCC, track grant modifications; and support the Perkins Grant, related contracts and sub-awards. The incumbent will work cross functionally with various college departments as part of the day-to-day work supporting pre- and post-Perkins and related grant development. The P/T Program Specialist will also work with faculty members to create program budgets for the application to new career and technical education grant opportunities, compile reports on monthly/quarterly/annual grant activity and keep detailed records related to these grants, all which support the Perkins program goals and objectives. The incumbent may attend meetings and provide additional responsibilities for the grants, as needed.
Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree and two years of experience in the field of education, educational administration, or analysis of customer needs, program operations, marketing, or customer services. The satisfactory completion of 30 credits towards a Master's Degree may be substituted for each year of experience.
The P/T Program Specialist (WCC) must possess good knowledge of administrative processes in an educational environment, with good communication skills, oral/written. Good knowledge of database software is also required. The incumbent must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and the ability to use computer applications such as spreadsheets, word processing, etc. The incumbent must also possess sound professional judgement, initiative, and the ability to get along with others.

Additional Information:
POSITION EFFECTIVE: The position will remain open until filled.
HOURLY RATE OF PAY: $34.60/hour. No benefits. The position is grant funded and will continue throughout the approved time-period of the grant.
WORK SCHEDULE: 28 hours per week, Monday - Friday, between the hours of 9 am - 5 pm.
