How you will make an impact

The Senior Director, Information Technology Infrastructure oversees the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure, Cybersecurity and End User Support. In this role, you manage complex IT environments and execution of key technology projects, and are an integral part of the IT Leadership team by providing a collaborative, creative, innovative and transparent approach to working with IT colleagues, as well as executive and management staff within the organization.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Develop and execute the overall IT infrastructure strategy to support the company's business objectives.
  • Oversee the management of servers, networks, storage systems, and other hardware and software components.
  • Lead administration of Microsoft Active Directory - user and group management, Network Services, File Services, Interoperability with M365 / Entra Environment, on-prem to cloud migration of services.
  • Lead administration of Okta SSO environment and interoperability with business applications, including authentication and security.
  • Manage all support services and resources to optimize Palo Alto firewalls, including security and NAT policies, Prisma access, VMWare and Nutanix environments, cloud backup systems, on prem and SAAS business systems.
  • Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Collaborate within the IT department to support business application objectives, as well as with other departments to understand their technology needs and develop solutions.
  • Develop and manage the IT Infrastructure budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with minimum of 15 years of experience in IT infrastructure management and minimum of 10 years in a leadership role (an equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered).
  • Strong knowledge of network architecture, cloud computing, virtualization, and current cyber security solutions, including the following technologies: Windows and Linux servers, Cisco Meraki hardware, Nutanix, CCNA/CCNP
  • Experience with switches, firewalls, physical and virtual servers, backup systems such as Datto, Quorum, Druva, SAN NAS storage, Nutanix, Zoom conference rooms, PCs, scanners, voice mail and e-mail systems, VoIP telephone systems / PBX. Cybersecurity technologies including Dark Trace, Rapid7, Prevalent, Threat and Vulnerability management systems.
  • Experience with Windows, MS Office 365 platform and suite of tools, Lansweeper, Team Viewer, Okta, PAN, Wireshark, others.
  • Working knowledge of ticketing support systems such as RemedyForce, Fresh Service, ServiceNow.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver results on time and within budget.
  • Experience with pharmaceutical IT systems validation, preferred, including working knowledge of GxP and 21 CFR Part 11 compliance applications.
  • Relevant certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or CISSP are preferred.

The most likely base pay range for this position is $206K - $309K per year. Several factors, such as experience, tenure, skills, and particular business needs, will determine an individual's exact level of compensation. Base salary is only one element of employee compensation at Halozyme. Total compensation could include bonuses, sales incentives, and equity awards.
