Job Description

Job Title- PT FACULTY-ADJUNCT RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGY (Pool)

Position Status- Part Time

Classification Title- PT Adjunct Faculty/Lab Instructor

Work Location- Main Campus-3600 N. Garfield, Midland TX

Job Summary- Instruct assigned courses effectively. Participate in the development and review of the curriculum. Adjunct Faculty are hired on an as-needed basis.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Texas Medical Board General Radiologic Technologist license
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Commitment to diversity, academic excellence, and exceptional service

Preferred Qualifications

  • A minimum of three years of clinical experience in Radiologic Technology
  • Teaching experience
  • Knowledge of Canvas or other instructional technology

Essential Functions

  • Prepare and deliver instruction to students in accordance with the course syllabus and College policy
  • Provide regular and timely evaluation feedback to students
  • Post grades in Canvas in a timely manner
  • Assign grades consistent with course requirements
  • Submit final grades by the established deadline
  • Maintain HIPAA and FERPA standards
  • Communicate regularly with students and College officials, including responding to e-mails, calls, and requests for meetings
  • Participate in assessment
  • Cooperate with the program director in periodic review and revision of course materials
  • Maintain ARRT certification
  • Submit required reports and forms
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands

  • The ability to perform work in a classroom and office setting
  • Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time
  • Use of manual dexterity
  • Ability to lift or move up to 20 pounds
  • Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation
  • Standard classroom environment

Security Sensitivity- All Midland College positions are security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code §51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information. An employment offer is contingent on completion of a satisfactory criminal background investigation.

Min Salary- $560.00 per lab hour

Max Salary- $825.00 per lecture hour
