PART-TIME FACULTY, E-SPORTS

Job Description

Basic Functions

This is a continuous recruitment for an applicant pool to fill part-time faculty (up to 67%) or temporary substitute assignments on an as needed basis.

 

We accept applications on a continual basis.

 

Departments or Divisions will refer to the pool of applications on file, as needed, to fill temporary assignments.

 

 Applicants will remain in the pool for 12 months.

Representative Duties

This position will be responsible for developing and launching the E-Sports program which is short for Electronic Sports. It is an organized video gaming program developed for managing teams and/or individual players (athletes) who play competitive video games via the internet.


The successful candidate may expect some or all of the following responsibilities:

  1. Develop and teach E-Sport management courses
  2. Lead students to plan and host E-Sport tournaments
  3. Develop and teach E-Sport competition courses
  4. Recruit and retain students for E-Sport programs
  5. Coach and manage individual and teams for competitive games
  6. Assist with marketing campaigns for fans and spectators.
  7. Determine, assess and review rules for compliance with any associated leagues, conferences, or affiliates.

Requirements

Any bachelor's degree and two (2) years of professional experience, OR any associate degree and six (6) years of professional experience OR the equivalent.

The number of part-time faculty hired varies from semester to semester, depending upon the needs of the department. Your application will be maintained in this part-time faculty pool for 12 months.
