Overview

The Supply Chain Project Manager - Sustainability & Compliance (SCPM) is an integral part of the Supply Management team supporting the client's lead for Sustainability and Compliance. The SCPM will support a range of initiatives related to both Supply Chain Sustainability and Procurement / Supply Chain compliance including contract audits, compliance reporting, support of sustainability projects and initiatives (including Scope 3 reporting) both internally with the client and externally with their utility peers, support data request responses from regulators and other bodies related to contracts and sustainability. The SCPM will be able to both support the overall goals and represent the team in meetings, writing reports and where applicable attending external events. A solid background and understanding of procurement and contracting along with knowledge of sustainability practices and reporting is required for this role.

Responsibilities

Compliance related activities including:

    Contract audits, reviewing contracts not only for accuracy but for applicability of the terms and conditions within the contract to the goods / services contracted for.
  • Compliance reporting in response to internal / external requests including supporting response to data requests within the allotted timeframe as per either internal guidelines or external regulations.
  • Compliance metrics and reporting support as and when required and as directed by the client.


Sustainability related activities:

  • Support Scope 3 related data gathering, analysis and reporting requirements for sustainability reports.
  • Support and/or lead (at client's direction) other supply chain sustainability projects.
  • Participate, support and attend internal and external meetings / workshops / events (at client's direction) related to Sustainability.
  • Project Management of multiple, varied projects within the Supply Chain organization related to sustainability, compliance or other areas as directed by the client.
  • Support process improvement opportunities in Supply Chain.
  • Work cross functionally representing Supply Chain in gathering data, compiling reports, supporting meetings or other events as required by the client.
Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Supply Chain, Business or Environmental Studies / Sustainability
  • Project Management experience managing multiple projects related to procurement / supply chain. PMP Preferred
  • Proven work experience related to procurement / contracts with demonstrable knowledge of contract structures and ability to audit contracts and provide reporting and recommendations
  • Experience working with electric and gas utilities is preferred.
  • 5 (five) to 7 (seven) years of experience preferred - minimum 3 years of procurement / contract experience related to negotiating or managing contracts
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices in Supply Chain - preferably related to heavy industry or gas/ electric utilities. Knowledge and understanding of Scope 3
  • requirements and reporting preferred
  • Ability to multitask and work cross functionally within an organization
  • Ability to prioritize workload and execute according to required timeframes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to draft, edit and produce reports combining data and editorial content supporting projects/ audits or sustainability reporting
  • SAP and/or ARIBA experience highly desirable
  • Excellent MS Excel / MS Word skills required
  • Driver's License required

Wage Data Per State Requirements

Salary rrange for this position is $120,000.00 - $150,000.00. The starting salary will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment.
