Role: Data Center Network Engineer
Location: San Diego, CA (local required)
Clearance: TS/SCI eligible clearance or ability to upgrade from Secret
TEKsystems is seeking a Data Center Network Engineer to work in conjunction with a Data Center Systems Architect and to reside at the client location in support of further build out of disparate systems in an unconventional infrastructure model. Client is deploying small form factor hardware that does not reside in standard data centers or racks and with limited or intermittent connectivity, such as Naval ships. The Architects will participate in client meetings where they will intake requirements and advise on future architecture, design, and hardware solutions. Resource must be available to perform all services on customer's premises in San Diego, CA.
Required Skills:
- Experience as a Data Center Network Engineer with a focus on networking; route, switch, firewall, and network optimization
- Ability to participate in client meetings, intake client requirements and make recommendations on design, architecture, and hardware
- Experience with configuring, implementing, and deploying Aruba Network Switches.
- Experience of Networking Infrastructure Concepts for seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
- Experience in Network Performance Optimization.
- Strong communications & organizational skills as resource will need to engage directly with various levels of customer and HPE teams.
Key Activities:
- Conduct an in-depth assessment of current infrastructure, including network architecture, hardware configurations, & performance metrics.
- Optimize configurations for performance, security, & scalability, leveraging best practices & industry standards.
- Develop a roadmap for integrating Aruba switching, Juniper SD-WAN, and Palo Alto firewall technologies in the customer environment.
- Implement necessary technologies to prioritize critical applications and workloads.
- Provide knowledge transfer sessions to empower Customer IT staff with the skills & expertise needed to manage & maintain Aruba Switching environments effectively.
- Fine-tune Aruba switching configurations to maximize throughput, reduce latency, & enhance overall network performance.

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $90.00
