Position Summary
To provide quality customer service and assistance to members, clients and customers coming into the facility through the various entryways. The membership clerk is primarily responsible for ensuring efficient, effective data entry and processing of membership and the program forms with an emphasis on processing requests for financial assistance. The clerk is responsible for ensuring confidentiality of recordkeeping and support to the Membership Manager by providing training and feedback to guest services staff. The membership clerk supports the membership department with regular statistical reporting of sales and usage.
Essential Functions
- Ensure data collection and refinement of planning documents.
- Accurately enter all count information and all other essential data into a computerized database.
- Ensure that all membership and person accounts are completed in accordance to set company procedures and standards.
- Review of new account applications and data entry for clerical accuracy
- Analyzes customer accounts and promptly make corrections and/or modifications to files.
- Contact customers to obtain missing information or data to ensure an accurate customer database.
- Establish schedules and track to ensure timely completion of project.
- Ensure program assessments and documentation are completed and properly tracked.
- Provide great customer service to the community; see that all customers, clients and members are given prompt and courteous service.
- Maintain all Kroc Center cash handling policies: appropriately accepting transactions, verifying daily deposits and maintenance of till bag.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, be out-going, and enjoy building relationships with a variety of members.
- Complete sales transactions for all programs channeled through respective venue.
- Provide tours and offer information to guests, emphasizing membership sales and offering full product availability to customers to best meet their needs.
- Appropriately communicate information about all Kroc Center programs and membership options.
- Assist with minor event set-ups & activities and ensure general venue safety. Communicate facility issues to the appropriate person(s).
- Oversee member & customer interactions as related to Protecting the Mission policies.
- Provide information and answer questions about available programs.
- Adhere to RJKCCC operations as well as all policy procedures as adopted by Administration.
- Observe all safety rules and regulations.
- Attend staff meetings assigned.
- Assist with personal training data and entries.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- All other duties apply.
PAY RATE: $19.00-$22.00/hr.
Working Conditions
Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis. Ability to be able to lift up to 40lbs. Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinets drawers and reach overhead. Ability to operate computer, fax and telephone.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years.
- Previous customer service and point-of-sale experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers & supervisors, Spanish-bilingual strongly preferred.
- Must comply with all applicable business, employment and copyright laws.
- Maintain a drug and alcohol-free work environment.
- Must have or obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certification within the first 90 days of employment.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- High school diploma or diploma in progress.
- Skilled at basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office; database management experience preferred.
- Demonstrate the ability to relate positively and energetically with staff, clients, members and customers.
- Must have the ability to maintain a non-judgmental attitude in working with customers, clients, members and staff.
- Maintain a professional attitude and approach to problem solving.
- Have the ability to work with children, parents, staff and a variety of ages groups in a capacity of leadership, counseling and education.

Education
Experience
