Job Description
DIRECTOR OF CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION, NEW EDUCATION INITIATIVE (NEI), MIT Open Learning, to lead the design and delivery of a groundbreaking digital curriculum of stackable credentials toward bachelor's degrees in science, engineering, and AI; reimagine education for the AI era and prepare the next-generation workforce; oversee a team of instructional designers and developers; guide pedagogical strategy and content creation; and co-develop MIT’s Faculty Academy to train educators; and collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to build scalable, high-impact learning experiences—online and in classrooms.

Job Requirements:
REQUIRED: PhD in engineering, computing, math, science, humanities, or social sciences with a minimum of eight years’ relevant experience; proven ability to thrive in fast-changing environments and manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality results. Submit a cover letter detailing qualifications, a teaching statement outlining instructional philosophy, and a CV including education, publications, talks, and relevant experience.
This is a one-year term appointment, with a potential for extension based on performance and funding.
The pay range for this position is $120,000 - $160,000.
